"Cleantech is not just about technology, but also about changing the way we live, inventing intelligent infrastructure, relearning our relationship with the living systems that supports the human economy."
Examining the political, business and personal challenges to the "sustainable economy", Gil Friend asks thought-provoking questions - Will we put our money where our hearts are? What is the purpose of business? How to scale with open source technologies vs. protectable technologies?
He calls for the invention of new business models to "break the addiction to stuff"; for an evolution from "thinking about things to also thinking about patterns"; and ultimately, for "a world that works for 100% of humanity, in the shortest possible time, through spontaneous cooperation, without ecological offense, or the disadvantage of anyone"
