Mike Hursh, Deputy Director for Maintenance Operations at the Valley Transit Authority (VTA) in the San Francisco Bay Area discusses VTA's fleet electrification experience and new initiatives. Although promising, the hydrogen fuel cell technology is not yet ready for the rigorous demand of public transit, according to Mr. Hursh. VTA instead has turned to electric / diesel hybrid buses. Filmed in Palo Alto, CA on October 23, 2009 during the US China Green Energy Forum.
