V2 Wind was a 2010 Cleantech Open finalist. According to the company, its proprietary wind acceleration technology has the potential to "achieve a significant reduction in the cost of energy produced by all other generation types, including fossil (coal and natural gas) and nuclear". It can also multiply sites viable for wind power generation, as well as address objections typical wind turbines face - noise, wild life hazard, and visual disturbance.
